Learning Conferences for Year 9 to 13 students will take part in Week 4 of this term, on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th August.
The Learning Conference provides the opportunity for the student, whānau and form teacher to meet and have discussions around holistic academic progress. The focus will be on:

Student’s progress and what is going well
-
Challenges that are hindering progress
-
Support the school can offer to increase progress
-
Future plans and goals for the student, and a discussion about the appropriate subjects for 2025.
The Learning Conferences are the first step in a series of events this term to support students with their future pathways. These include:
Careers Expo 20 August 2024 4pm to 6pm Tawa College
Subject Selection opens on 16 August and closes on 29 August
Wellington Tertiary Open Day Friday 23 August 2024 (Teacher Only Day)
Process
All students will attend Periods 1, 2 and 3 on Wednesday 14th August. They will be released for the day at the end of Period 3 at 12.30pm. There will be no classes held on Thursday 15th August.
Form teachers will be available for 20 minute interviews with whānau and students from 1.40pm to 6.00pm on Wednesday 14th August and from 1.00pm to 8.00pm on Thursday 15th August 2024. The conference will be held in the student’s form class.
The Year 13 learning conferences will be held on Wednesday 14th August only.
Caregiver booking instructions
This year we will be using a different booking system for the Learning Conferences. We are using your SchoolBridge dashboard to access this system.
Login to SchoolBridge
Click on the Conferences icon.
Click on Term 3 Learning Conference and Book Time
When you choose a time it will ask you to confirm the booking. An email will be sent to you.
There is also a summary button at the top to check your bookings. If you have more than one child attending the school you can switch between them using the icons at the top right of the screen.
If you want to book after the system is closed, please contact the form teacher directly.
